LINDA

“Through dynamic discussions and interactive activities, participants were encouraged to share their unique perspectives on diversity, highlight issues, and reflect on their own lived experiences. It was a session of learning, reflection, and action-and a fantastic opportunity to foster curiosity, expand our communication skills, and build a more inclusive environment through mutual exchange."

PAULA

“I had assumed the Blacktionary was really for white-led corporates and not people like me, who already know the terms, but I was wrong. The space that Maggie and Jane create by hosting these regular events is powerful and offers opportunities for meaningful connections."

TRUDY

"The Blacktionary Show featured the work of Maggie Semple, OBE, FCGI and Jane Oremosu, where they talked about their book 'The Little Black Book' celebrates language in a dictionary format. It's definitely a workplace tool, that will help to break down barriers when talking about race. Many of us got to share personal stories as Maggie and Jane highlighted words from the book. It was a great way to explore words, meaning and experience."

JENNIFER

"What a fabulous evening of warmth, positivity and camaraderie even whilst tackling difficult subject material! If Maggie Semple, OBE, FCGI and Jane Oremosu weren't enough of a treat to drink in as fantastic hosts, Ellen Thomas as the special guest left me floored and incredibly starstruck. Thank you for continuing to organise such important events!"
